Unlocking Personal Lock on R225

I aquired a Samsung R225 that has a personal 4 digit lock code
enabled.

I've tried the normal codes of 0000 or 1234 and 1111 but nothing seems
to work. Is there any back door way of getting around the personal
lock. (ie data cable and software or a special combonation of keys
that I need to hold down while powering on the phone?)

I've tried over 200 different codes and it won't unlock or ask for the
PUK code so I'm kind of at a loss for ideas.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
