When your phone goes on roaming, what networks does it roam on? A lot of
networks are GSM so other than Verizon who has a CDMA signal that Sprint
phones can pick up?

Take a look at http://www.cellular-news.com/coverage/usa.shtml.

Technically, any dual mode Sprint phone can roam on any 1900 CDMA network.
Tri-mode Sprint phones can roam on any 800 or 1900 CDMA network. I do not
know who Sprint has as roaming partners however..

Most commonly, a dual-band Sprint phone will roam on one of the "legacy" analog
networks.
