Does Alltel support CSD? I want to use my phone as a modem with my laptop
dialing directly to my isp.

I'm not sure what CSD is, but I can connect using Alltel to Earthlink.
It is mighty slow, so I uncheck the "show pictures" box in Internet
Explorer. That is in the "Tools" Menu - "Internet Options" - "Advanced"
and then scroll down to uncheck that option.

CSD is Circuit Switch Data and it allows a user to use their wireless
handset as a modem for laptops, PDAs and other electronic devices via
infrared ports or designated data cables. CSD also allows a user to access
Wireless Internet via their wireless handset (handset must be WAP
compatible). At least this is the definition I got off the internet. Speed
isn't a great concern to me as long as I can connect just to check my emails
and maybe get directions.
